Nearly there for the Great Ocean road race and I’m quietly excited.
I’ve been running with a couple of different groups this time around – all of them quicker than in the preparation for Melbourne – and I’m feeling great.
Whether its because I now have the kms on my legs from the training before – but after the big 30km runs – by Tuesday I was running again. Last time around after the big runs – I was out until Thursday before I could go again. So its been really good.
Just shows that discipline, persistent small steps can get me anywhere I set out for.
Also I think my mind is a bit better prepared for what’s ahead at the Great Ocean Road – 45kms is a long way and I need to set out at the right pace without going overboard.
3.59.30 is the aim!
